The 2014 Einstein Public Lecture in Mathematics

James Simons gave the 2014 Einstein Public Lecture in Mathematics, "Mathematics, Common Sense, and Good Luck" on Saturday, October 25 as part of the Fall 2014 Western Sectional Meeting at San Francisco State University. About 300 people filled the room to hear Simons talk about his career in mathematics, finance, and philanthropy.

Some of the audience members were recipients of AMS-Simons Travel Grants, which are supported by the Simons Foundation.
