Joseph Warren Dauben was awarded the 2012 Whiteman Prize for his contributions to the history of Western and Chinese mathematics, and for deepening and broadening the international mathematical community’s awareness and understanding of its history and culture
About the Prize
This prize was established in 1998 using funds donated by Mrs. Sally Whiteman in memory of her husband, Albert Leon Whiteman.
