• Enter search criteria in one or more of the search fields:
  • For first name, last name, institution and institution city, type criteria into the blank boxes.
  • For all other fields select criteria from the pulldown menus or checkboxes.
• After entering the search criteria, click on the Start Search button.
• Clear the form and enter a new search by clicking on a Clear Screen button.

Entering Search Criteria

• CML searches are not case-sensitive.
• The wildcard character is the asterisk (*) and may be used in all fields. The wildcard may not be used as the first character in a field.
Example: Last name: Smith First Name: R*, will retrieve all authors with the surname Smith and the first names beginning with the letter "R".
• To select a member organization, click in the box that applies.

CML Search Results

• The CML is intended for personal use and is not designed to create mailing lists. Mailing lists are available for a fee from the AMS, contact AMS Customer Services at: cust-serv@ams.org, 800-321-4267, or 401-455-4000.
• Searches return the first 100 matches in groups of 20. To navigate through searches, use the icons at the top of the page.

• Results of a search are displayed in the following format:

  Last name, first name middle initial
  Position (or title)
  Institution
  Institution State or Province
  Institution Country
  Mailing address as specified by the member. (If no department is specified, assume the Department of Mathematics.)
  Phone number: all numbers supplied by the member
  E-mail addresses: displayed as live links
  URL: if supplied by the member
  Memberships: society affiliation(s)
  Specialties

• Print or download search results through the print or save option of the web browser.

Updating your CML Listing Online

You can update your CML listing online if you have an email address in the CML database. After specifying your member organizations, you will be asked to identify yourself. Once identified, you can view your current data and make changes. Confirmation email will be sent to all email addresses currently on file for you in the CML noting your changes.
