DescriptionThe conference is in honor of Ivo Marek, a distinguished scientist interested mainly in numerical and functional analysis, on the occasion of his 80th birthday. ThemesThe main themes of the conference are (i) preconditioning of sparse matrix problems, symmetric or non-symmetric, arising in large-scale real applications; (ii) multilevel preconditioning techniques, including multigrid, algebraic multilevel, and domain decomposition methods for partial differential equations; (iii) multilevel solution of characteristics of Markov chains. The aim of this conference is to bring together specialists from these different fields of numerical analysis with complementary views and to stimulate interaction. Information |
