DescriptionThe workshop is intended to give an overview of the research landscape surrounding optimal transportation, including its connections to geometry, design applications, and fully nonlinear partial differential equations. As such, it will feature some survey lectures or minicourses by distinguished visitors and/or a few of the organizers of the theme semester, amounting to a kind of summer school. These will be complemented by a sampling of research lectures and short presentations from a spectrum of invited guests and other participants, including some who attended the previous week's Connections for Women workshop.
