Computational Algebraic Geometry is one of the most classical and exciting areas of mathematics. It is also one of the most applicable branches of mathematics with applications in physics, engineering, robotics, computer vision, signal processing, computer security, etc. MCAG group is a network of algebraic geometers in Michigan and surrounding areas aiming to encourage collaboration, exploration of new applications, and stronger connections among algebraic geometers of Michigan.
Organizer
Gene Freudenburg. The group organizes yearly conferences in different Michigan institutions, training sessions for students, and encourages collaboration among different mathematics departments from Michigan and surrounding areas.
