Description
The Research Training Group in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Washington will host a summer school on solving inverse problems via microlocal analysis, aimed at graduate students and advanced undergraduates who have the required background. Students will attend lectures in the morning and problem sessions in small groups with mentors in the afternoon. On-campus accommodation and meals will be provided, plus a travel allowance of up to $600. The Summer School is supported by an NSF Research Training Grant. Support is restricted to U.S. citizens/permanent residents; international students can be considered but will have to pay all their own expenses. The course will be taught by Mark Anastasio, Guillaume Bal, Francois Monard, Plamen Stefanov, and Gunther Uhlmann. Visit our website for the full course description and prerequisites.
