Description

The algebraic geometry group at the University of Georgia will organize a 2-week summer school on algebraic geometry. The following lecture series will be given. First week: 1. Curves and their moduli (lectures by Joe Harris and Ian Morrison), 2. Abelian varieties and their moduli (Gregory Sankaran), 3. Minimal model program (James McKernan). Second week: 1. Cycles (Patrick Brosnan), 2. Hodge Theory (Ron Donagi, to be confirmed), 3. Mirror Symmetry (Tony Pantev). There will be research conference in between.
