Francois Bourguignon is the new World Bank Chief Economist and Vice President of Development Economics. Posted on the World Bank media website is an interview with Bourguignon, along with a sidebar that notes he started his training as a mathematician who has degrees in statistics (from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l'Administration Economique) and applied mathematics (from the Université de Paris).
